May, June and part of July updates....

Well I have some updating to do :)  We shall start with May...on the 8th Meg went to Junior/Senior Prom and looked absolutely fabulous!!  She had a great time with her friends getting ready, going out to eat and at prom.
We left for Maryland on the 20th so that on Saturday May 22nd we could see my Dawnee graduate Summa Cum Laude from McDaniel College!!!!  We are extremely proud of her and honored to be her parents :)  I ordered a DVD of graduation so that Todd can see the whole thing :)
On the 16th of May I signed into facebook and saw that one of my friends had found a kitty living under her porch and of course she posted pictures :)  Well my heart melted and I immediately started crying.  This little baby kitty looked A LOT like our Reggie who we had to have put down exactly a month before this.  I contacted my friend and the next day she brought this slightly scared, sweet little man to our house.  We were immediately off to the vets to make sure he was ok.  Our vet was surprised by the resemblance to Reggie also.  We named the little man Rocky and he is doing extremely well!  We (the vet and I) estimated his age and he ended up with my birthday, which was around the time Reggie started getting really sick again.  We had said that if we were going to have another cat that Reggie would have a helping paw in the matter and we are convinced that God and Reggie sent this little man to us.  He is definitely helping heal my heart and keeps us laughing and he is very snuggly and lovey :)  I will post pics later, there are PLENTY on the camera!!
The weekend of Dawn's graduation the weather was extremely hot and humid in Indiana and Chelsea (who couldn't travel with us)  was miserable in the house without central air.  Well Sunday night when we got home it was still miserable.  So I did the only thing I could think of I called a company to come out and tell me how much it would cost to have a furnace/central air put in.  Things worked out and on June 1st they began the installation process, which was not fun, they ran into several problems but on the 7th of June they finished!!
Of course I wasn't here when they finished installing the furnace/central!!  Meg finished school on the 4th of June, had SAT's on the 5th and the afternoon of the 5th Chels, my Mom and I left for Maryland to see....TODD :)  He was there for a conference/training for almost 2 weeks.  I had the best 13 day vacation EVER!!  It had been almost 10 months since we had seen each other and when it was time to leave my Dad and Meg came to get me and Dawn is living with friends in Maryland right now, so we all got to see Todd!!  Coming home was great, having to say goodbye to Todd again SUCKED!!  But the time is going by quickly.  We are having a pretty good summer break before Meg starts her Senior year.  We all have nice tans going, spending time with friends and family and spending some quality time with my girls is always wonderful.
July 2nd my baby turned 17!!  We had a cookout at my Mom's over the 4th and watched the fireworks, it was great to be with family...but nothing compares to a 4th on an Army post!!!  Yesterday we hit the 3 month mark until Todd is home, YAY!!  Some other misc. things have gone on, like getting a new computer and I have a doctor appt on the 15th to discuss my fibroids and such again.  We also have a cookout at my in-laws coming up next week.  Hope everyone is enjoying their summer and I will get pics off of my camera ASAP and get them organized and some posted on here eventually :)
